Overview

Riverstone Church is a non-denominational church in Mansfield, Texas, led by Pastors Desi and Mychal Henk. It launched in September 2025 with a plain mission: loving God, serving people, building lives. Good Word built the church's identity, website, and content system so a first-year plant could show up with the clarity and warmth of a church that had been there for years.

Challenge & Goals

The Challenge

A church plant has to feel like home before anyone walks through the door. Riverstone was gathering in a school cafeteria with no building, no history, and no visual identity. It needed a brand and a site that could carry the weight of a settled church while it was only weeks old, and hold together across everything from a Sunday slide to a parent deciding where to bring their kids.

Goals

Give Riverstone a mark and a voice people would recognize and trust. Make it simple for a first-time guest to know where to go, what a Sunday looks like, and how to take a next step. Build a system the church could keep running on its own, week after week, without losing the look or the theology behind it.

Our Approach

How we built the brand

Phase 01

Brand & Identity

The identity is built on a woven-waves mark, two currents that cross once, drawn from the living water of John 7:38. Around it sits a full system: a warm, grounded palette, a clear type hierarchy, a line-icon set, and photography direction that keeps people at the center. Sub-brands for kids, students, groups, and media all carry the same DNA.

Phase 02

The Website

We rebuilt Riverstone's site around the questions a guest actually asks. Plan a visit, service times, kids check-in, giving, and sermons all sit a click from the home page, wrapped in the brand and written in a plain, pastoral voice.

Phase 03

Content & Launch

To keep the brand alive between Sundays, we built a repeatable content system. A weekly rhythm of invitation, gathering, kids, and recap graphics runs alongside short sermon clips and a promo film for the site, all drawing on the same templates, Scripture, and photography so the church can publish without starting over each week.
